Bank of America Setup

Enable transaction alerts so Daily Benji can track your spending

Using the Bank of America Mobile App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Bank of America Mobile Banking app and log in.
  2. Tap the Inbox envelope icon at the top of your Account Overview screen.
  3. Select "Bank of America inbox" from the options presented.
  4. Choose "Custom Setup" to ensure email delivery (Quick Setup defaults to push notifications).
  5. Grant notification permissions by tapping "Allow" when prompted.
  6. Select "Account Activity" from the alert categories menu.
  7. Choose your specific card (checking, credit, or debit card ending in XXXX).
  8. Toggle on your desired transaction alerts - the toggle will switch from "currently off" to "on".
  9. Select "Email" as your delivery method (not Push Notifications or Text).
  10. Tap "Save" to confirm your selection.
  11. Repeat for all cards: If you have multiple Bank of America cards, you must repeat steps 7-10 for each one.

Using the Bank of America Website

  1. Navigate to bankofamerica.com and log in to Online Banking.
  2. Click "Profile & Settings" in the main navigation menu.
  3. Select "Alert settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Choose your account or card from the available options.
  5. Move the toggle switch to "On" for transaction-related alerts.
  6. Select "Email" as your delivery preference.
  7. Click "Save" to confirm initial settings.
  8. Enter alert preferences including frequency and threshold amounts.
  9. Set the minimum amount to $0.00 to capture all transactions.
  10. Click "Save" again to finalize your configuration.
  11. Repeat for all cards: If you have multiple Bank of America cards, you must repeat steps 4-10 for each one.

Important: Email is Required

For Daily Benji to work, you must select Email as the delivery method for your transaction alerts.
